Experience:
I volunteered as a peer tutor in an English Second Language class in Northview Heights Secondary School. Along with school work assistance, I created ongoing and trusting relationships with each student, providing personal support and help with various concerns outside of school setting. In my previous job as a hostess and birthday party supervisor, I was successful at ensuring the comfort and joy of each child's birthday through activities, playtime, positive and safe environment. Presently, I am volunteering at Central Neighbourhood House as a Child and Youth mentor to help children and youth from communities who are struggling with behavioral issues, aggression and peer pressure. I have experience as a teacher assistant in a preschool and a kindergarten assistant. In both settings I supervised children from ages 3-5, read stories, and played with children, helped with their activities in a group of 5 and one-on-one
